Mosaic Artist, Jane Wright

Mosaic artist Jane Wright takes us to festive and whimsical places through her mosaic art. "Zelda in Red" most certainly is portraying the Indians of New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Have you ever seen a more beautiful headdress? "Leap of Faith" takes us to Carnival. Jane's dancers are beautifully detailed in stained glass with handmade clay faces. The carousel has to be my favorite. Not only is the imagery reminiscent of a simpler time, but also of a time when art was truly functional. The detail of the carousel pieces takes your breath away. Last but not least, the delightful flamingos remind me of that vacation I've been meaning to take!

Carousel is an incredibly detailed pieces that depicts a beautifully white carousel horse and a very ornate and detailed camel with a little monkey on it’s back. This carousel series depicts beautiful white carousel horses with jeweled bridals, their manes blowing in the wind.
